CIOs Enthusiastic but Still Learning

Filed in archive RFID Basics by Anita Campbell on July 02, 2004

A recent survey of 350 IT executives shows a lower level of understanding about RFID than anticipated, but considerable enthusiasm for the technology.

That is according to a survey conducted by bearinglinks Point, the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) and CIO magazine.

Key findings of the survey were:
  • Only 16% had deployed RFID projects.
  • Another 20% said their companies were currently holding trials.
  • Encouragingly, 58% said they planned to launch trials within 12 months, and 51% said they planned to launch trials within 24months.
Read more about the survey in an article in RFID Journal.

The survey will be available for free starting July 15 here.
