Your dirty linen will get public with RFID washing machines in Australia
How about having a washing machine fitted with RFID? This could soon become a possibility in Australia and you may not even come to know that the washinglinks machine you purchased to wash your clothing will also be able to keep a track on some of your activities. With a lot of items which we use in our daily lives getting tagged it comes as no surprise to me that RFID could be implemented in washing machines too.

The data collected might end up being used for marketing purposes but I am not sure whether Australians who are traditionally wary of such activities will accept it or not. Even though Australians have started taking surveillance in stride post 9/11 attacks but I believe they should be informed that a watch is being kept on them so that they can avoid washing their dirty linen in public!!
