Wireless Dynamics launches first LF RFID reader/writer in SD card format
This is being touted as the world's first LF RFID reader/writer in SD card format- it is SDiD 1210 from Wireless Dynamics and has compatibility with Windows Mobile smartphones and PDAs. As per company details SDiD 1210 can be applied for herd management, pet and livestock animal identification, vehicle security, field logistics, process compliance and fuel payment systems. It can interrogate various 125 and 134.2 KHz LF RFID tag formats.

Also the whole of SDiD line has compatibility with devices running Windows Mobile 2003, PocketPClinks 2002/2003 and Windows Mobile 5 with SDIONow. The company even states that the tag information can be wirelessly communicated in real time to enterprise databases through GSM, CDMA or Wi-Fi. Creation of custom applications is also possible with Windows Mobile SDK.
