The 2006 RFID Marketing Strategies Report From RFID Update
Filed in archive Report on May 16, 2006
RFID Update has come up with 2006 RFID Marketing Strategies Report which is a first of its kind report analyzing how the audience responds to certain marketing tactics and messages. The report also includes a list of the top ten vendors in terms of awareness building and thought leadership and their association with RFID. Alien, Texas instruments and IBM earned the top honors. One of the major findings of this report is that the current brand leaders are not deep rooted.
The report was meant to capture actionable data which the RFID companies could use for better market positioning and branding themselves in the competitive industry. The report is unique in the sense that it visualizes the industry from a marketing angle.
Beyond these marketing tactics, the survey also asked how an RFID company's behavior and actions influence perception. Does its membership in EPCglobal or AIM increase its positive perception by the RFID audience? Does it matter how sensitive the company is to issues around RFID and privacy? Are larger companies necessarily more favored than smaller ones? What about "pure play" RFID vendors versus companies for which RFID is only one piece of their offering portfolio? Such questions and many more are answered by the research.
The report can be purchased online from RFID Update Store with individual licenses costing $495 and corporate licenses costing $795. The contents, executive summary and table of figures can be viewed freely.
