Whenever these men jump in the fire they never know whether they would return back or not and in order to get them out of a precarious situation when they themselves are caught in the fire while trying to get it under control, RFID Ltd has come out with a SurvivalTag. It uses RFID so that every firefighter's position can be tracked while they are doing their job because visually it becomes quite difficult to keep a track of everybody as thick smoke hampers the visibility. This will ensure that the firefighter can be saved where he himself has been caught in the fire and hence save the precious lives of these brave men.
Besides this, the company is working on a system for keeping a track on vital body functions such as heart beat, body temperature and respiratory developments because during intense heat there is a chance that the functioning of vital body organs might be affected and in case something of this sort happens it would become necessary to evacuate the firefighter on a priority basis.
Certainly a very useful system for the fire fighters!!
