Today I checked my inbox and it was flooded with rumors of Apple adding RFID reader to its phone. This implies that your Apple iPhone would turn into an e-wallet enabling you to shop without having to take out your wallet and might even let keyless entry to your vehicle.
I just wonder why such a hue and cry is being created about the whole episode as if it will become the first phone in the world to adopt RFID (provided it does). Check here and here. I believe its all media hype built around this phone and nothing else and we are all fools to believe it.

Are mobile phones RFID enabled the leading solution for future contactless payments? Other smart technologies are competing for mobile usage. During world wide event on smart technologies starting next Tuesday 17th November, there should be some focuses on this - check out www.blogcartes.com.
