Shopping Would Never Be the Same Again With RFID
With supermarkets introducing RFID tags, shopping would never be the same gain. It is being used as a replacement over barcodes as it simply broadcasts its data to electronic readers. Although it would be offering benefits for both companies and the consumers but a number of people are skeptical about the usage of data by big brother.

People believe that these labels could be used for tracking the person who bought the product instead of the product. It may happen that one may discharge some rubbish in a bin which may later become a scene of the crime and thus a person may inadvertently be linked to the scene of the crime. Certain questions come to mind as to whom all could get access to this information and for what all purposes this information could be used. One solution could be to kill the code on the chip as the customers leave the shop but here is another turn how would a customer come to know when the signal died.

Certainly RFID is going to give a new twist to your shopping experience at the nearby supermarket next time.
