Roads to become safer for cyclists with RFID
With today's pace of traffic cyclists tend to have a harrowing time riding on their bikes and are always at the risk of being mowed down by the faster moving traffic but the Danish government has taken note of this situation and adopted RFID to make the roads safer for the cyclists too. An RFID system by the name of See Mi is being installed in the city of Denmark to protect the life of cyclists riding on the dangerous roads.

Under the pilot battery powered RFID tags will be installed in the steering column of nearly three hundred bikes and receivers would be placed at seven most accident prone intersections and whenever a cyclist would be about to enter that area the system would transmit the signal to the traffic light which would result in the cyclist signal being flashed at the level of eye of the drivers to alert them of an approaching cyclist so that they can slow down and avoid any collision.

I feel cyclists would really feel relieved after reading this and hopefully the rate of accidents would fall down for the better.
