RFID wristband makes life easier for visitors at Splash waterpark
Filed in archive Implementation on October 11, 2009
If you are planning to visit La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center in La Mirada, California then get ready to taste RFID technology out there. The water park has deployed RFID wristband system which would enable guest to get keyless access to their lockers at the water park.
On arrival guests are given disposable Smart Band wristband which is a non transferable wristband that comes with a sealed RFID microchip and has been programmed with a unique 16 character code. There would be no need for keys and all the guest would need to do is wave their wristband in front of their locker and it would pop open automatically.
The wristband also serves as cashless payment card with an option of pre allocating amount for kids. Besides it could also be used for playing arcade games and activating vending machines and above all helping parents to track their children lost in the park.
Certainly RFID will make life easier for people visiting this water park.
