RFID World gets a new date for 2008
RFID World which generally used to be hosted during the spring has now been moved to fall season. The 2008 event will be held in the month of September whereas the 2009 and 2010 event will move back to the spring slot and will be co- located with Interop in the month of May.

The major reason behind changing the schedule was that the date of the event was almost clashing with another popular event RFID Journal LIVE! 2008 which will be held from April 16th to 18th. Also the events were being held at the same place i.e. Las Vegas. In order to avoid this possible clash RFID world decided that it would be better to change the schedule else both the events, exhibitors and participants might have to suffer as a result.

Another change one will witness with RFID World is that it will be co-located with another big event Interop in 2009 and 2010 which not only surprised me but even the industry. Though it would be offering high visibility to RFID but I feel that RFID World might get overshadowed by Interop which is one of the largest business technology events in North America and more than seven hundred exhibitors and twenty five thousand attendees are expected to attend the show in 2009. Let's see whether this partnership brings desired results for RFID World or not.
