RFID to help out elderly with T-phone concept

Filed in archive Tags and Readers by gautam on October 20, 2007

This is something which is aimed at senior citizens. It is the T-phone concept from Jeong-Kyun can help the elderly dial the numbers on the keypad of a phone. Here the T-Phone incorporates RFID technology which dials number related to a particular RFID button. Whenever the RFID button is brought closer to the phone and the Talk Key is hit the T-Phone will automatically dial the contact stored on the RFID button.

This would surely be a boon to elderly whose physical and mental abilities become blunt with age and RFID can help them get in touch for help in case of emergency without losing time. As of now it's just a concept but hopefully it will take shape soon.
