RFID to Get Your Letters on Time
The Deutsche Post has to everyday handle around seventy million letters through its eighty four distribution center. In order to make these people job easier a new type of RFID tag called as D-RFID is being used for making the system more reliable and faster.

Up till now the postal department was dependant on paper labels in their distribution system but now they are in the process of using RFID tags for cost control and saving time with lesser error rates.

In order to gain benefits from this technology the Deutsche Postlinks would be employing D-RFID tags with an ultra flat display which would enable the employees to read the necessary information. These tags would not only be able to handle harsh environmental conditions but also meet the stringent cost targets. During the scanning process these tags would be supplied with electric energy which would be used for refreshing the content on the display.
