Are you in the Philadelphia area during summers and in the heat are you dying to have your favorite Coca-Cola then let RFID get it for you. In case one has an RFID enabled payment card in the pocket then one would be able to wave the card and get an ice cold Coca-Cola from select vending machines.

MasterCard, USA Technologies and the Philadelphia Coca-Cola Bottling Company have come together for a thousand vending machines for this purpose. USA Technologies generation Six e-Port cashless payment terminals would be installed in the machines. The terminal is equipped with an RFID interrogator which reads RFID enabled payment devices.

MasterCard has been purchasing the $400 e-Port terminals and installing them in vending machines in order to encourage the use of PayPass enabled cards or key fobs.

Now who said cash could buy you everything?
