RFID Shopping Cart Will Make Shopping Easy
Filed in archive Implementation on February 1, 2007
This shopping cart is for people like me who tend to get lost in the shopping stores. Realizing this Media Cart Holdings has come up with a RFID shopping cart which informs users about the products as they go past them in the store. A high resolution video display has been attached to the cart for the convenience of the customers.
For this purpose UHF Gen 2 passive RFID chips have been installed in the aisles of the store. Whenever you will pass through the aisle of the store the interrogator captures the information from the various tags installed and your screen will start demonstrating various product advertisements along with various offers.
This RFID cart not only makes buying but also paying for the products quite convenient. It has an in built bar code scanner so that your precious time wont be wasted at the checkout. This is a sweet RFID cart which not only gives you a warm welcome but also bids you goodbye when you are done with your shopping.
RFID is offering sheer convenience to us and this is an appreciable improvement over the traditional carts that we use for shopping. This will certainly make your shopping experience quite enjoyable and above all convenient. Companies too will get to gain as it will offer improved visibility to their products. All in all it will be beneficial for everybody.

Old post.. but just now found it.. I deal with this issue for ages! I have to ask the staff where can I find a certain product.. because supermarkets are big! This would ease my job.. and also to tick what I have to buy..in case I have a list in mind. Great! :D

Thanks for the recommendations, in late years I became dependent on shopping carts and I always pay attention when something new comes up.

This is definately an improvement, but it does not really encompass all that RFID technology has to offer. I think that the future of shopping will be with RFID tags instead of barcodes and that the fact that every product will have an RFID tag means that each one can be located by RFID scanners such as on these carts. But the real advantage will be in being able to scan all your products together instead of one-by-one as is necessary today with barcodes.
