RFID Robot Terminals for the gadget savvy Japanese
Next time you visit Japan you might come across RFID robots on the streets out there. This is an initiative undertaken by NEC which plans a combination of touch sensitive screen and RFID reader terminals for collection of data from e-money phones which are a hit among the Japanese population.

The screen would let you know the amount of money held by your handset so that you can make the desired transaction. It would come up with built in camera and face recognition software which would gauge the age of the customer keeping in mind the concept of customer service.

These RFID Robots could be placed at places thronged by people such as theme parks, fairgrounds or movie theaters. People could not only buy tickets from it but also avail guidance keeping human element aside.

I believe it would get acceptance from the people of Japan who are gadget savvy and benefit from it too but what about loss of jobs which may happen as a result.
