RFID Recycling System to teach importance of environment to public
Filed in archive Implementation on August 21, 2008

Most of us are indifferent towards our environment and we knowingly or unknowingly tend to harm it and if we continue neglecting our environment which once acted as a cradle for us it could soon turn onto our graves.
If you would like your environment to care for you then you must make an effort to recycle as much products as you can or nobody will be able to save your environment from getting polluted.
In one of the encouraging examples Howard County's Bureau of Environmental Services, Maryland came up with a novel method to persuade people to be more sensitive to their environment. Under a pilot program EPC Gen 2 RFID tags were attached to recycling containers apart from interrogators on truck which offered information regarding who all participated in the recycling process and who didn't.
On the basis of data collected using the RFID system postcards will be sent to people who didn't become a part of the recycling process so that they could be educated regarding how recycling could go a long way in protecting the environment around them.
I hope very soon people start realizing the importance of saving their environment and if it happens a part of the credit would go to RFID.
