How about having a baby through IVF which does not resemble either of the parents? Probably you will die of shock!! You must be aware of the fact that in vitro fertilization (IVF) can bring bundle of joy in the life of childless parents but you may not know that there is always a chance that fertilized egg might get mixed up in the lab and the women opting for IVF may end up getting the wrong embryo and such cases have been reported in this respect in the past.
If you feel that after reading this you would not like to opt for IVF then you will have to change your decision as reproductive Medicine leader Overlake Reproductive Health in Bellevue in US has adopted IVF Witness RFID technology which offers protection to the identity of IVF and IUI donors. Here the RFID tags act as a digital fingerprint hence ensuring a strict vigil on the work going on in the lab. IVF Witness ensures that the embryo gets transferred to the correct patient and there is no error in the process. In case any wrong samples enter the work area IVF witness offers warning to the Overlake Laboratory employees both visually and audibly.
In this case IVF Witness workstations are placed in the work areas of the laboratory which ensures that the reader detects RFID label attached to labware in an automatic manner and a watch is kept on every step without any sort of human intervention. Now childless couples certainly don't need to lose any hope or faith in IVF. Can I see some smiles now?
