RFID enters Europe with new guidelines
Filed in archive RFID Basics by gautam on March 20, 2007

By 2016 it is expected that RFID would bring revenues to the tune of €7 billion to EU. With the new guidelines almost set U.S RFID companies are already eyeing the European market for generating business. Rules would be drafted in the later part of the year for amending EU e-privacy legislation to take account of RFID.
It looks as if the commission is leaving no stone unturned for ensuring that no controversy gets associated with RFID in its region and it makes a whole hearted contribution to the economy of EU. I am really impressed by the manner in which EU is handling RFID!!
