RFID Diagnostic Sensors to make post hospital healthcare a lot easier
In case you end up in a hospital you have a team of doctors and nurses to take care of you but once you reach your home it becomes extremely difficult to have a doctor or nurse at home all the time to keep a watch on your health on a daily basis but this difficulty might be a thing of the past as now patients will not have to depend upon anyone to look after them. Gentag is developing RFID skin patch sensors which can aid in monitoring BP, body temperature and other statistics in order to ensure that the patient is alright. The skin patch is being developed by Gentag and CORE Institute. Along with the aid of RFID enabled cell phones patients can monitor the progress of their recovery from the comforts of their home. The health professionals will get to monitor damaged tissue status with the help of this sensor..

This effort is expected to increase the safety of a patient and ensure correct diagnosis coupled with low cost of health services. With low cost RFID sensors coupled with RFID-enabled cell phones would certainly make the life of patients a lot easier since these sensors could be read anywhere for any application.
