Here is something which is going to wipe the sweat of every worrying parent's brow. We all know how tough it becomes to handle children and basically teenagers. Even if one gives a mobile phone to a child one could not track the child's location but SmartWear Technologies has sensed the need of the worrying parents and in the next few months it would be selling RFID tags that could be sewn into a child's clothing or embedded in the wristband. Making use of a reader, parents would be able to track a child's movementlinks as much as six hundred feet away. The package would be costing $250. This is being introduced as the wireless carriers have failed to meet new regulations which would make it easier for safety agencies to track the location of cell phones. Certainly it is going to be a boon for the worrying parents and could help in tracing toddlers who can't be provided with a cell phone. Even though the distance which can be tracked is less but still it is being seen as a novel application of RFID.
