RFID adds brain to Siemens TV refrigerators
Innovation Lab's Kim otto got hold of one of the TV equipped refrigerator manufactured by Siemens and converted it into a RFID smart Refrigerator. Now this fridge has got some brains and it is aware about what it holds and whether it's worth consuming or not and even informs about the depleting inventory. You will get to know whether the meat that you are consuming is past its age or is the juice fit enough for your child to sip.

The fridge was customized in order to produce the desired results. The fridge was equipped with an RFID reader whose effectiveness was improved by using copper coil and an external transistor, touch screen embedded with Postallo computer replaced the flatscreen along with RFID tags attached to the food stuffs. Since the refrigerator is connected to the internet therefore it can improve communication between you and the producer. In case some inventory of any foodstuff is depleting the fridge will sent you an SMS to do the needful and also in case some food producer detects problem in their products they can warn you through your fridge. With this refrigerator you don't need to worry about your health now.

Watch this video to find out how it works.
