Recent Blogging Conference

As I reported earlier, I spent most of last week on the road attending the New communications
Forum in California, where I spoke on a panel -- and dealt with a number of crises long distance. As those of you in parts of the East Coast or Midwest may know, in-transit time to and from the West Coast of the United States takes the better part of two days due to the time zone differences. It's especially so from Cleveland, Ohio, because many flights require a connection, adding to the travel time. (Gone are the days when I blithely got off red-eyes or even international flights and drove straight to the office, something I used to do without a thought -- life's too short.)
Sorry for the light posting last week due to that trip, and earlier this week, too, when I had yet more travel.
As proof that I really was traveling, and if you want to see some of the people in the blogging world, check out my New Communications Forum photos posted over at Flickr.
You'll see a couple of the Creative Weblogging team there. Torsten Jacobi, the mastermind behind the Creative Weblogging group of which this RFID Weblog is one -- and a great guy to boot! -- is there along with Nicole Witt, his Vice President of Sales -- another friendly and wonderful person. Even though Torsten and I had talked by phone and emailed frequently, he and I met face-to-face for the first time just last week. It was an excellent opportunity to brainstorm.
