Powermat: The wireless charging system for your iPhone and Blackberry

Check out Powermat which can easily charge your BlackBerry and iPhone. With a battery cover for BlackBerry and case for iPod it takes away the complexity associated with charging devices. As soon as the gadget is placed on it the RFID chip detects it and the charging process commences. The good thing is you can charge three different devices at the same time.

In case you are always on the move go for the travel version which can be folded and stored easily. It comes with a flat plug which can be used in any country. To be available from first week of October in UK, it will cost £70 whereas the travel version will be priced at £80. The backplate for BlackBerry will be available for £30 whereas those for iPod touch and iPhone will cost £35. The price difference is on account of Apple charging for royalty.

By 2010 the next generation will be available for charging laptops and in the future you might even come across Powermats which could be easily embedded into tabletops and walls making your desk an invisible connectivity point for wireless energy.
