Pirelli Cyber Tyre: The Intelligent RFID Tyre

Now it's the turn of your 'no brainer' car tyres to get some brains. Pirelli is in the processing of releasing intelligent tyres fitted with microchips which will supply relevant information regarding condition of roads and tyres to the driven thereby enhancing the safety of the passengers in the vehicle.

It will offer information with respect to the tyre pressure and temperature along with the load of the vehicle and in case of any wear and tear will send information to the car ensuring that corrective measures are taken on time and safety of the passengers is never compromised.

The good thing about Cyber Tyres is that it is self powered deriving its energy from mechanical vibrations as the tyre rolls therefore not only will it be environment friendly but even a zero maintenance affair.

These tyres with brain will be available to the market in dual stages i.e. the Cyber Tyre Lean and Cyber Tyre but you will have to wait till 2010 to get them onto your car.
