The application of RFID in China is in full swing and it is even undertaking one of the world's largest implementation of rfid, all thanks to one of the biggest sports events being held in the country in 2008, Olympics. This implementation is expected to do some good things for the Asia region besides benefiting one of the largest sporting events in the world where it will be used for fighting counterfeit tickets. Even the quality of food being offered to the athletes will be under the scanner with the aid of RFID system and after the end of the event RFID will be implemented for improving the every day life of their citizens.

Olympics will give the much needed push to RFID in Asia

Besides benefiting the games the application of RFID on such a large extent is expected to give a lot of exposure to this technology in the Asian region and act as catalyst with regards to its faster adoption in this region. Another thing it is also expected to attract a lot of investment in this region by companies looking forward to spread the adoption of this technology. All in all it will be a win-win situation for both- I mean RFID and Asia.
