Now go for Green RFID Tags: It’s Biodegradable
Filed in archive Tags and Readers by gautam on October 27, 2009
The world is going green and so are the RFID tags. Smartrac is developing a new set of passive RFID tags which will be totally biodegradable after use. It is expected to cut down on tonnes of waste being generated each year and save Mother Earth from further degradation.

These new set of tags will be created from biodegradable components except for the chip and antenna. With RFID adoption expected to increase over the next few years in several sectors, environment friendly tags would surely be asked by companies adopting it.
