RFID Basics

Minimal or no regulation is usually a good thing.
The U.S. Federal Trade commission says it has no current plans to regulate RFID. According to a short report in RCR News, the FTC says it is in the information gathering stage and considers any rulemaking to be"too early."
This is a wise thing. One of the worst possible moves would be for the FTC to overreact and implement regulations that are either overly restrictive or poorly thought out. Once implemented, such rules are hard to eliminate.
