Market Size

This article says New Zealand is lagging behind in RFID. Exporters will probably be among the first to adopt it, if they are required to by customers such as Wal-Mart.
Sounds like New Zealand is fertile ground with an untapped market for RFID.
According to the article, the top 200 suppliers may have to spend between $3 Million and $10 Million each over the next 4-5 years to meet RFID requirements imposed by companies they export to.
That means the 5-year retail/export RFID market in New Zealand is somewhere between $600 Million and $2 Billion (NZD). This is the equivalent to approximately $395 Million to $1.3 Billion in U.S. dollars.
