Just look at the sweet looking doll on the left. It is not an ordinary doll but Naoru-kun which functions in a similar to a robot. This doll comes from the stable of Bandai which is credited with products such as Tamagotchi and Power Rangers. Can speak around hundred and fifty phrases such as 'I am here',' let's play' etc and gives a response when you hug it or shake hands with it.

It's different in the sense that it can fall sick. You would get to know that Naoru-kun has fallen sick when it starts sneezing and coughing. Depending on the symptoms the kids must administer one of the following items such as candy, medicinelinks or even a syringe. The syringe, medicine and candy are embedded with RFID tags and the doll reads these tags and responds accordingly. As per the company this doll would be fostering caring mentality in young kids. This is some what similar to their hit product, Tamagotchi which was released way back in 1996

Next time your child administers the right treatment to the doll, be sure he or she is on the right path of becoming a doctor.

Thnx konomi
