Move into your hotel room without queuing at check-ins
Queuing at check-in can be a pain in the neck if you are a frequent traveler who just wants to crash into the bed after a long flight. Realizing this common problem, a US hotel is conducting a pilot which enables guests to bypass hotel check-in and move into their rooms straightaway.

The pilot which is being carried out at the Aloft hotel in Lexington, Massachusetts enables guests to skip the front desk and move straight into their room. Guests are given RFID equipped membership card which can only be used for opening door locks. Whenever they plan to stay at the hotel, a text message is sent by the hotel authorities to guest's cell phone with their room number. So when you reach the hotel room all you need to is take out your keycard and head straight to your room without having to stand in the queue.

If the pilot turns out to be successful then eventually the keycard would be used as an all access pass which would even enable you to buy food, drink and make other purchases at the hotel premises. Sounds cool!!
