Microsoft's Push into RFID
Filed in archive Software Applications on June 9, 2005

Interesting little piece in this week's RFID Insights newsletter from InformationWeek, about Microsoft's even bigger push into RFID. Editor Beth Bacheldor notes:
"I've mentioned before (and I know this is nothing you all don't know) that when Microsoft makes a play in a market, it's clear and convincing evidence that the market is valid. Microsoft's already made moves in radio-frequency identification technology, and now, it's pushing even harder.
So what RFID developments are going on in Redmond? My colleague Aaron Ricadela, senior writer at our parent publication, InformationWeek, sat down with Microsoft senior VP Paul Flessner to get the low-down. And there's some interesting news. Apparently, Microsoft is working on new software to help companies manage RFID data. The software, due out next year, could make it easier for companies to load data from RFID into databases. To learn more, read this week's lead story."
You heard the lady, go read it.
