Germany's Metro Group has opened a test center for RFID.

Metro's Innovation center is designed for use by any supplier that wants to test how its RFID will integrate with Metro's own deployment.

These test centers are getting to be the hot thing right now. Not long ago Sun Microsystems opened a test center, as have some other large companies with a stake in RFID.

Metro, of course, expects to introduce RFID into its supply chain with the first piece starting in November of this year.
