Make Your Car Safer With RFID
You have bought the swankiest car in town but along with it you have also brought the fear of your car being stolen. You might have fitted your car with the state of the art security alarms but does that give you a peace of mind? Now here comes RFID in the picture.

The potential of usage of RFID in the automotive sector has been realized over the years and car manufacturers are looking at passive RFID tags as an option in ignition systems along with RFID scanners to ensure that the proper key is being used for starting the car.

This logic may also be employed for controlling access to the doors of the cars. Passive tags embedded in the key would be required for activating the ignition or door locks in some new vehicles. No RFID or the wrong RFID tag being scanned would not allow ignition to occur.

United kingdom has taken this technology one step ahead by embedding RFID tag in the license plates. This would make it possible to track the car in real time in the event of being stolen.

I hope the next time you buy a car, you won't worry as much as did earlier because now you have RFID at your disposal.
