This comes as a surprise to me. According to a survey conducted by the organizers of the easyFair Pack and Track Food exhibitions, UK, the country's food manufacture's are slow in adopting RFID due to lack of knowledge regarding the technology.

The survey states that food industry wants to innovate and invest in areas which can provide competitive advantage. It is not technology shy but it is looking for suppliers who can explain the bottom line benefits of RFID before it makes the move.

It is the lack of knowledge about the real benefits RFID offers and the confusion about the costs which is acting as a barrier regarding the adoption of RFID.

Are the suppliers listening?? UK Food industry is waiting for you.
