Is RFID in the Supply Chain REALLY Stalled - What Do You Think?
Do you agree with our guest blogger, Chris Kapsambelis, who says RFID in the supply chain is stalled? He says the technical challenges and the economics of implementing RFID are such, that barcodes are a better solution in the supply chain, than RFID tags.

He's taken a controversial position. While I don't agree with such a bleak outlook, I do think it is fair to say that near term there are challenges to sort out for using RFID in the supply chain. End users are still figuring out in many cases how to implement the technology.

However, I believe there are many examples of companies making progress with their RFID implementations. You have only to read the pages of the RFID Journal to read about new pilotslinks and case studies all the time. It's just that things are going slower than many anticipated.

What is your opinion?
