iPhone media player: Use physical objects to control media playback

With RFID technology around people are using it in the best possible manner and this can be judged from this very cool implementation out here. A prototype of an iPhone media player has been created which uses physical objects for controlling media playback.

You can experience several iPhone interactions when it comes within the range of physical objects embedded with wireless tags, all thanks to the RFID technology.

In the video what you can see is a simple media player prototype which leads to playback of content when it comes within the range of the tags. The iPhone comes with an RFID or NFC reader and when it is within the range of objects embedded with RFID tags you could experience the media player work.

It may sound a very simple implementation of RFID but is pretty interesting if you take a look at it. At some point in the future, I'm sure we will see all mobile phones with this technology included.
