Retail

Wipro Technologies has launched an RFID-enabled retail store on its sprawling corporate campus in Bangalore, India.
The concept store is designed to demonstrate how radio frequency can automate checkout, stock maintenance, and the tracing and tracking of goods in a clothing shop.
There is not a tidbit of surprise in this announcement. Wipro, famous (or infamous, depending on which shore you sit on) for its outsourcing solutions, was recently the subject of an RFID Journal article profiling the company's big push into RFID integration services for retail clients.
Wipro seems to be aiming to be the RFID integration leader in India -- and other parts of the world, too.
