Indian outsourcing companies have been known to offer cost effective solutions and up till now were ruling the roost but thanks to increasing competition for markets and hiring staff these companies are creating reusable software which automate specific business processes and can be used for a number of clients leading to time and cost benefits.

Outsourcing giants such as Infosys and HCL have already developed various components which also includes an RFID component for supply chain applications. These components can be implemented across various sectors. Up till now the norm was that outsourcing companies followed cost plus model adding further staff to increase their revenues but they are now moving away from it in order to stay competitive. Focus is shifting on developing industry specific service oriented architecture services which can be used among various customers but problem that companies may face in the short run would be with regards to hiring quality employees who have a better understanding of the business problem and technology and create software. This sis probably a very small price these companies would have to pay in order to secure their future.
