Get to know the artistic robot
At the Synthetic Surrogate exhibition in Sundaram Tagore Gallery something will be totally different for the art seekers. No doubt there would be artistic hands out there but they would not be flesh rather you would come across artists who are a combination of metal, plastic and technology. Don't be amazed if you spot these artistic robots drawing circles, lines, geometric forms and random designs with perfection.

Five artistic robots with motion sensors and electronic directional compasses will be deployed at the Sundaram Tagore Gallery and will be equipped with temperature sensor, video sensor and RFID reader.

Barry Freedland who is behind this work will be bringing these pen holding rubber cast robots which have been programmed to react to the surroundings. So in case you go too close to them the robot may get self conscious or run away or may even stop working.

Freedland has been passionate about incorporating mechanical elements into his art and he will be staying behind the curtains writing new programs while the exhibition would be in progress.

Certainly art has got a new dimension with mechanics.
