As a part of the laundry management system the company is demonstrating the sample tags at a company event in Tokyo. There is a scanner through which the incoming items are passed. It takes a few seconds to read the items in the basket and from there the garments progress into the washing system. It would be possible at each stage of the laundering process to place the sensors in order to determine the location of any item. The sensor network can be extended beyond washing to the pick up and delivery system which creates a complete linen or garment management system.
At present trials are being undertaken with a few linen rental companies. The company plans to promote this system to organizations which handle an increasing amount of textile goods such as hotels, hospitals, leisure facilities and commercial laundry services.
As of now the tags is available for $1.82 but the company plans to cut down the costs by half in the next two years.

I admit this is interesting practical and functional, I guess we won't have to worry about stolen or lost laundry anymore. Something tells me that this concept will extend even further.

this is usman, im working in a 5star hotel here in Pakistan, i want to share some information with your company, i would appreciate if get a quick response on my query as below:
1. I want to know all about your laundry system in order to compare with our company needs
2. is there possibility that we could control the inhouse laundry system, that i mean the staff uniform system. we face the problem here in linen room. i want to have a tagging system for our staff laundry. when some1 take his/her laundry when thier shift start and after receiving it should be cleared. the main thing is this that there must be a 'report generating' system. that if we want to know who return their uniform and who didn't and if we issue another tag to some1 else!
3. the total cost of the system. with such a modified system.
Regards,
USMAN
