E-Plates to Reduce Stolen Car Instances in Malaysia
You have purchased a luxury car in Malaysia but you don't realize that along with it you have got your self the fear of your beauty getting stolen. You will agree with me when you will get to know that around thirty cars mostly comprising of luxury beauties get stolen each day in Malaysia.

Most of the stolen cars escape the eyes of the cops as the first thing the thieves do after running away with the car is change its number plate and chances are you might be seeing your beloved for the last time. Called as e-plates, these special number plates are equipped with a RFID tag having information regarding the owner and the vehicle. These number plates have a battery life of ten years and a range of hundred meters.

It is expected to tighten the noose around the car thieves as these plates cannot be easily tampered. It would become easier for cops to scan passing cars at checkpoints and find out the stolen cars. To be implemented in stages, the plates would be first tested in new cars followed by cars already on the road in the coming year.

Let's see how successful these number plates turn out to in bringing down the crime graph in the country.
