E-diploma to curb fudging of educational records in India

If you are an Indian student looking forward to fudge your educational records to land up a job in the country then beware as such ideas are bound to fail at all cost because of RFID. In one such instance University of Hyderabad in India is awarding masters and doctoral graduates with diplomas embedded with RFID tags encoding the name of the student, graduation date, degree awarded along with photograph of the face of the student. Awarding of RFID based diplomas was thought of after a number of fraudulent cases were reported and Indian government issued directives to educational institutes to guarantee the genuineness of the diplomas and degrees awarded by them.
Companies looking forward to verify the claims of the prospective employee can download the required software and use an RFID interrogator for reading the tags and match with the details offered by the concerned person. Even a thumbprint can be included on the chip which would aid in further verifying the antecedents of the person. Looks like Indian students will think twice before taking up the wrong path in landing themselves a job.
