Dogbone Freeze RFID Tag: For those harsh conditions
Filed in archive Tags and Readers on August 13, 2009
RFID tags tend to under perform in harsh conditions and keeping this deficiency in mind UPM Raflatachas has come up with Dogbone Freeze RFID tag (interesting name) which can perform in frozen environment supply chain applications. It works in conditions where the operating temperatures tend to drop down to -40C/F degree.
It comes with 240-bit EPC memory along with locked 64-bit tag identifier which includes a 32 bit unique serial number. Not only is it extra thin but offers non sandwich type structure offering a printable, white synthetic surface. This cost efficient tag can be directly applied to cases, items and pallets.
Now who said RFID is not meant for those harsh conditions.
