International's ActiveTag technology powered system along with wireless sensors and underwater cameras will be keeping a tab on the people and vehicles around the port. With this system, information regarding people entering the ports and the area they travel within the gates would be captured and all the monitoring activity will be transmitted to the security personnel via various electronic means. With lots of people entering the country to watch the game of cricket the need arose to strengthen the security in and around the port. Taxis and other vehicles have been attached with RFID tags and even personnel's entering the port area are required to wear RFID batches. With RFID adoring a number of events across the world, it seems that the day is not far away when its popularity would spread like wild fire.
