CNET Names The Blog 100

"With more than 14 million blogs in existence and another 80,000 being created each day, how is a person supposed to find the ones worth reading?
That is the question CNET News.com is attempting to answer with our first Blog 100 list. This effort adds to features such as News.com Blogs, Extra, My News, TalkBack, Newsburst, and Blogma, in which News.com editors and reporters are helping find the best news and views on the Web for the convenience of our readers.
Blogs have become an important source of information, but the signal-to-noise ratio makes it hard to find the gems. In our pursuit, we spent weeks checking out technology-oriented blogs based on the recommendations from our reporters and readers."
I am honored to have this blog included on the list. The RFID Weblog is included in the "Cutting Edge" category of the Blog 100.
There are tons of great blogs out there -- obviously more than a Top 100 list can ever recognize. My advice to any blogger is to "keep on bloggin'."
I've been writing this blog since February of 2004. There were many moments when I wondered whether anyone other than me was reading it, especially early on when traffic was low.
Just like starting a new business, blogging requires a leap of faith
and perseverance. That first day you start publishing a blog, you are literally talking to yourself -- you are your only visitor to your own blog. Gradually, though, others find you.So, stick with it and your efforts will be recognized, in one way or another.
