You might be the best cheater in your class when it comes to exams but this time even you will have to bite the dust as RFID is out there to ensure that everything is conducted in a fair manner. UK-based Edexcel examination board is implementing RFID for arresting incidents of cheating during exams and for this purpose RFID tags would be attached to GCSE and A-level exam papers. It would now become extremely difficult to tamper with the examination papers packets since the RFID tags attached will be able to detect whether some kind of tampering has been done with the packets or not.

Preparing an alternative paper and dispatching it in case of a fraud can turn out to be a difficult and costly issue for the board and RFID can certainly help in dealing with this complex issue. In order to tighten the noose around hardcore cheaters the company has also gone ahead and used a computer based system to pinpoint at students if they have performed better when compared with the statistical projections. This will surely help in improving the standards of education and ensure that only students which burnt midnight oil get their due.
