Bartenders Beware, RFID Is There
This news certainly comes as a shock to those bartenders who are either quite generous or like distributing free drinks. A beverage monitoring software company has come up with a tilt switch which attaches to bottles and updates everytime when the glass is filled. This system makes use of the time period of pouring and bartender's pouring style in order to calculate how much liquid has left the bottle.

The tilt is converted by the software into an estimated volume and the conversion is perfected depending on the history of each bottle therefore it becomes more accurate over a period of time and adapts to each bartender's habits. Whenever the bottle gets emptied, the sensors get to know and the software readjusts the historical pours of each bottle to the known volume of the bottle. This system is already being tested by TGIF, Hilton, Outback Steakhouse and Hyatt.

So the time has now come for the over generous bartenders to curtail their bartendinglinks styles.
