Apple gonna make networking simpler with RFID
A number of us might find setting up a wireless network a bit difficult but here is RFID to simplify this process and Apple will be doing just the same by putting RFID transceivers into wireless base stations. A patent has been already been filed in this regard carrying the title RFID network arrangement describing a system in which a router holding an RFID transceiver would be containing all the network configuration information. The network info will be stored in the base station and RFID tags would be attached to the devices to be connected to the network so that RFID info can be read or written without requiring the need of any configuration. The patent had been filed with the United States Patent and Trademark in September 2005.

There would be no requirement for turning in the wireless devices for the RFID tags to communicate rather passive RFID tags could be used for authentication of information and when the devices are turned on they will be able read the authentication information from the RFID tags.

Probably now setting up a wireless network at your home would be an easier job coupled along with configuration of devices and security protocols establishment which earlier may have caused troubles to some but Apple along with RFID has plans to end all the sufferings. Check the patent here.
