3G Wi-Fi Tags from Ekahau
Ekahau has come up with the third generation T301-A Wi-Fi tag. This third generation tag is an improvement over the second generation tag as it has a longer battery life, smaller form factor and cheaper price tag. The tag has been designed for tracking assets and people.

One thing unique to the tag is two way communications for remote tag management. It enables automatic wireless configuration of the tags parameters, activating tag's buzzer and LEDslinks and updating of software. This is the first company which makes use of System on a Chip. The tag can run for five years on a single batteries and when the battery life is about to end the maintenance personnel are alerted via the Ekahua RTLS platform.
