The 2009 Celebrity Big Brother Show has another special participant in the form of RFID. In the current Big Brother series which started on 2nd January, Endemol, the company producing the show has deployed RFID technology by Wavetrend for tracking the housemates during the entire season.

So with the help of RFID, Endemol would be tracking the habits and movements of the housemates and the data collected would enable them to analyze their close proximity with fellow participants and time spending patterns. This would also enable the psychologists to interpret the behavior pattern of the housemates and question them regarding it after their eviction from the show.

For this purpose the company has installed fifteen RFID readers across diary room, smoking area, bathrooms and bedrooms and the housemates will be required to wear RFID tags throughout their stay in the house. As far as the viewers are concerned they will get to watch the house floor by means of studio display which would pin point housemates with tracking beacon.

Seems Endemol wants to make this reality show a bit more 'real'!!!
